How To Use Mod Podge Spray
Once you have finished your puzzle and are ready to seal it simply paint the mod podge onto the front of the puzzle.
How to use mod podge spray. The napkin i used was very easy to tear so i changed course and decided to add smaller pieces. Work in small sections at a time to fully wet the surface. Spray the back of the paper with water once the mod podge dries. I apply a medium layer of my formula enough so that it s visible white on the surface. Paint the mod podge onto the front of the photo first then let it dry.
The ink from your image should remain on the canvas. Immediately place all design elements onto the wet surface. I have found that this process results in the smoothest possible finished surface. Apply a thin coat of mod podge to both sides of the paper. Don t put a top coat on right away.
With the spray mod podge i was able to work in small sections just spraying the area i was going to work on. Then and this is important let the project dry for 15 20 minutes. You can do this with a wide paintbrush or a foam brush. When i seal my puzzles i paint the puzzle very sporadically at first and then i paint over the edges to make sure they are gotten too. Cut off the excess paper fabric.
Allow that coat to dry for 20 minutes or so before applying another even layer of mod podge in up and down strokes. Originally i was going to use a large piece of a napkin for each side. Doing so using the new spray pump mod podge made it really easy. Rub the paper with your fingers until it comes off the transfer surface. Ultra is best applied to a project surface by evenly spraying the surface while moving the bottle left to right.
I work quickly since mod podge dries quickly. Next wrap the paper fabric around the cylinder and mark where it starts to overlap. Add a protective coat of mod podge to the project using a sponge or flat brush. I apply mod podge to the surface as well as to the back of the paper or fabric. Consider painting the base item.
