How to edit breakout rooms in zoom. If you re unhappy with your previous assignment of participants you can opt to rearrange before the meeting begins. Select the number of rooms you would like to create and how you would like to assign your participants to those rooms. Step 2 the breakout room feature is under the meeting tab and you need to navigate there to confirm it s on. Click create breakout rooms. Click on view detail in the breakout room section. Click the name of the group then click the settings tab. Then go to meetings and pick the meeting you want to edit. However note that you can only create breakout rooms if you re using the desktop version of zoom mobile users can still join the breakout rooms but can t create or manage them.
Using the zoom web portal make sure to sign in with administrative privileges. Let zoom split your participants up evenly into each of the rooms. You can also manage breakout rooms during the meeting. Skip this step and the next if you set up breakout rooms in advance by editing the meeting at the zoom webportal. In the navigation menu click user management then group management.
Click meetings and click the meeting you want to edit. Click on it to configure breakout rooms for the meeting in progress. If the setting is disabled click the toggle to enable it. Click create breakout rooms. Sign in to the zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit groups.
