How To Clean Iron Melted Plastic

Remove the remaining traces by unplugging the iron and placing it with the soleplate down in a tray of ice cubes for 5 10 minutes to allow the plastic traces to freeze. Next you re going to turn on the oven to its lowest setting and let the plastic melt a bit. With the cloth covering melted plastic run the iron back and forth over the affected area. Take a piece of cloth and place it over the melted plastic. To clean a sticky iron start by heating it on a low setting. Then remove them with a metal spatula by scraping. Wipe away the residue with a clean cloth then wipe the area with a leather conditioner or mild soap to re hydrate it. Then unplug the iron and wipe it down with a damp rag.
