How to clean hot tub jets with vinegar. Cleaning a hot tub that has been sitting if you have not used any hot tub for a long time the first thing is to do is fill the tub. It makes perfect sense then that vinegar is also effective for cleaning your hot tub. If you haven t used your jetted whirlpool tub in some time you could be in for a surprise when you turn them on and find dust old soap scum even bugs blas. Make a solution of white vinegar and distilled water take a sponge and start cleaning your hot tub. Then drain the tub.
Turn off the whirlpool and in 30 minutes run it again for an additional 15 minutes. Remove the jet unit from the spa tub. Wait half an hour before turning the tub jets back on for an additional 15 minutes. Allow it to soak and run through for an hour or two. Pour undiluted vinegar onto a cloth or sponge and wipe the sides of the hot tub allow it to sit for five minutes and then rinse with warm water.
Pour one gallon of white distilled vinegar into the hot tub or spa water. Simply apply the vinegar water solution to the afflicted area with a sponge or rag and scrub or wipe it clean.
